This office is responsible for all Union facilities, meeting room reservations, and maintenance of the building. The building hours are Monday – Thursday from 7:00 am – midnight, Friday from 7:00 am – midnight, Saturday from 8:00 am – midnight, and Sunday from noon to midnight. The office is located on the main level of the Union.
This office reserves all meeting rooms, banquet rooms, the Down Under facility, display cases, lobby tables, and some additional classrooms across the University on weekends and evenings for recognized University student organizations in good standing, departments, and divisions. Eligible non-University organizations may reserve rooms in the Union for non-commercial activities for a fee.
The Administrative Office offers technical equipment such as a technology cart, microphones, podiums, easels, flags, flip-charts, and limited audio/video equipment, to be used only in the Student Union.

Located on the upper level of the Union, the Career Center is a central location to visit for assistance in choosing a major, exploring different careers, looking for ways to gain work experience or prepping for an interview. The Career Center services are for all Truman students (not just seniors), and we also assist Truman alumni, faculty and staff. In addition, the Career Center helps employers connect students from Truman’s diverse set of academic fields who are well-equipped to step into full-time and internship positions.

The Truman State University Bookstore, located in the lower level of the Union, has a wide variety of services available including textbooks with online ordering available for both new and used copies, office supplies including special orders, emblematic apparel, and school spirit items, general reading books including national bestsellers and special order, convenience items including snack and incidentals, greeting cards and gifts, fax and UPS shipping services, student organization special orders, special occasion orders including fresh flowers and balloons with free on-campus delivery, and online student discounts for Dell Computers and software. A percentage of every sale goes back to the Truman community.

Located on the main level of the Union, the Union & Involvement Services is primarily responsible for campus programming, student organization development services, leadership development, and leadership recognition programs.
Union & Involvement (U&I) has many resources for student organizations. A few of these resources include consultation services by a professional staff member, leadership programming for organizations, and many other resources such as banner supplies, poster printer, karaoke machine, snow cone machine, and many games.
A student organization work/resource room is located adjacent to the U&I which houses the student organization mailboxes, copy machine, poster paper, and a large meeting area.
Annual events coordinated by the U&I include Truman Week activities, Activities Fair, Homecoming, the Leadership Recognition Program, and the Golden Leadership Awards.

Located on the lower level of the Union is the Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA) Office. Through collaboration with our faculty and staff colleagues, the VPSA office creates an educationally purposeful, inclusive, just, responsible, caring, and celebratory community. Students in our community are involved in cultural exploration and community engagement; develop intellectual competence, reflective judgment, and habits of healthy living; and master the skills of effective leadership and responsible citizenship.

Located within the VPSA’s Office, the Office of Citizenship and Community Standards seeks to enhance the educational mission of the University by promoting a purposeful, inclusive, caring, responsible, just, and celebratory community. This may be done through resolving allegations of misconduct under the Student Conduct Code or by facilitating programs that foster the development of future leaders and responsible citizens. Citizenship and Community Standards promises to support the academic community by promoting and investing in students’ holistic learning, ethical growth, and character development.

The Information Center is located in the main concourse across from the Mainstreet Food Court. It will provide directions, information, and answers to a variety of questions concerning campus and the local area for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Campus maps and various campus and area brochures are available here. Also, you may send or receive a fax, purchase stamps, or use a coin-operated copy machine.

Located on the Main level, Sodexo Administrative Office provides oversight for all food facilities (MainStreet Market, Dining Halls, and Convenience Stores) and catering on campus. You can visit their office to inquire about meal plans, initiate catering requests, and seek information about campus dining options in general.

Located within the Union and Involvement Services Office, the Greek Life hosts a variety of Greek-letter organizations. Greek Life is dedicated to promoting and maintaining a positive learning environment in which all participants can develop leadership skills, good citizenship, and camaraderie among their peers.
Many of Truman’s student organizations make regular use of the Union to host events and meetings. A full listing of each organization and its website, as well as contact information, can be found at the link above.

The FAC office is in the Union 1109, on the lower level of the Union, in the Student Involvement Complex.
FAC is a student-run organization that provides financial support to chartered student organizations wishing to sponsor an event for the entire campus community. Funding allotment for FAC occurs once each semester.

SAB seeks to offer the campus community a wide variety of programming including films, concerts, comedians, lectures, coffeehouse series, campus talent productions, and excursions. Tickets for their events can be obtained during their scheduled office hours.

Student Government is the official representative body of all students. It appoints student representation to all University committees, conveys student opinion through the passage of resolutions, and conducts programs celebrating all students such as Diversity Week, Student Appreciation Days, and much more.

The Serve Center is on the lower level of the Union, in the Student Involvement Complex.
SERVE seeks to assist and promote student involvement in community service. The SERVE Center works with a number of community agencies to coordinate volunteer efforts of the student body. In addition to providing information and opportunities to interested volunteers throughout the year, the SERVE Center organizes a one-day service project, The BIG Event.

The Women’s Resource Center is on the lower level of the Union, in the Student Involvement Complex.
The WRC is a politically neutral organization that seeks to provide informative and innovative programming and events for the Truman and the Kirksville community. The WRC centers around the health and well-being of women, but we are a resource for all genders.
